Browsed around some places, routes and inspiration for a bike trip and alas I found the Lake Bodom with a reasonable distance away from my location.
And why lake Bodom would be interesting one might ask? – Because three teenagers were killed in there, or murdered, in 1960 and so far they never found out who was the culprit.
So looking at the map, around the lake and then some more would be a convenient 25 km circle to cycle around and maybe stop at the Espoo Car Museum (they have exhibition about Honda Monkeys this summer) on the other side of the lake from the murder site.

Weather was nicely warm with some wind. Took about two hours to drive the route back to my car.
Did skip the Car Museum this time on my way back, but stopped at the beach, where the killings happened and spent there a moment just to look around and check the place out.

The place itself is a beach and there were already some kids playing in the water and couple adults hanging around and some fishing at the other side of the small cape.
There were a small flower stone arrangement at the foot of the one tree made by someone, that might, or might not, be related to the place and what happened in there. But in every other sense, the place was just an ordinary beach to spend a summer day at. No shrines or no memorials of any kind.
Needed some inspiration to take my bike out and this was the thing I needed. The road around the lake was nice to cycle around, with some vert to challenge my feet and some nice downhills to roll down. Nice houses and nice scenery. And quite popular route as well as multiple cyclists and bikers drove towards and past me.
Overall a worthy trip and the inspiration needed to go out again.
Need to look the maps more and find some other interesting places to visit.
…till next time.
