We had some snow already in the beginning of November here in the middle parts of the Finland. – See here if you don’t believe: https://hiidenkorpi.blog/2025/11/22/winter-day-trip-to-leivonmaki-national-park/ – And I came up with an idea of getting a pulkka.

…and not just any pulkka, but a decent one with metal skis.

I’m not saying that I wanted a pulkka to go and ride the longest pulk hill in Finland at Saariselkä that has the length of 1200 meters, but I just might go to the Saariselkä some day to ride the longest pulk hill in Finland.

But maybe the main idea was to haul firewood at my small estate from the shack to the sauna and Mökkönen. And to use it as an ahkio when out on some winter adventures.

So to get a pulkka, you need to find where to buy one. So I did some googling, but didn’t find the one pulkka I was looking from any local shops near by…
…but I did stumble upon a web-shop by the maker of the Pulkka.

What I didn’t know was that the web-shop was brand new for B2C customers and I was to be the first customer ordering anything from there…

So about a week later I got the packet and was somewhat surprised and awestruck as I found a letter, some chocolate candy and a winter hat also packed into the bubble wraps.

As it turns out the company called Wiitta had bought the winter toys and sport product line from the Orthex company already in 2021. At first they focused only to the B2B sales, but now they also had just opened a web-shop for B2C customers with deliveries around the country and maybe beyond.

So while waiting for more snow and new adventures I at least have a nice hat to wear and some chocolate to eat. ❤
