Vihti ski center is a nice and compact little hill in the capital area. Drive time from Helsinki is about 45 min.

Still some adjustment needed for finding the perfect position on the board. Started with classic 10/-10 duckie, but went even a bit more open on the back foot and found it more convenient and comfortable stance to ride. It’s now like 10/-15 or so. – Need to test the front foot also, if opening the stance would make a difference and also try widening the stance a bit, so I can get into a lower position more conveniently.

Was a nice trip and +1 for days on the board. I’ve been too lazy and had way more less days on the slopes that I was planning for the winter and the spring. – Also braking the strap of the board and waiting couple weeks to get the replacement and then another week or so to get in installed burned some days. It actually took two different ski services and three people to get it fixed and replaced, as everyone knows: those things are kinda rocket surgery level stuff.

Weather was beautiful, but a bit windy. The backside and the forest path route were nice to ride, but the front side of the center was on the windy side and one could feel it. Temp was around +3°C and the slopes in a nice condition to ride.
The spring is early this year and the snow is melting fast. We shall see how many days one sill gets in the southern Finland on a snowboard. Maybe couple more till the end of March.
Till then…
