This time I go to Touruvuori nature trail. My fourth trip of #KerääKymppi, Collect Ten challenge.
It is in Palokka area of Jyväskylä city, about 10 km from city center. Easy to take bus or bike.
You should find it from 62°17’48.0″N 25°45’25.0″E. Also parking place for cars and start of running / cross country skiing trails.
First time I this summer have to use insect repellent. Many mosquitoes in Finnish forest in summer time.
It has been very warm and dry for long time. Not much rain and very warm, about +25°C daytime. Not typical spring or early summer in Finland. Forests very dry and high risk of forest fire!
You should not make fire, even at fire place outdoors, if there is a forest fire warning issued!

Walking in forest is nice and peaceful. I see many ant nests and climb many stairs to top of the cliff.
Some ant nests are abandoned. No more ants and plans grow on top of them. Some ant nests are tall as person. Very interesting to see.
There is also many different kind usnea growing on trees. They look beautiful in sunlight.
From top of the mountain Touru you can take shortcut (oikopolku in Finnish) and walk short route back to start. I walk the long way of course.
On top of the mountain is makeshift fire place. I find more sunny place at the cliffs to eat my lunch and watch the lake in distance.
Some forest here is really old and nice to see nature life, fallen trees, hear birds and sense sun going down and forest getting more dark during my walk.
Finnish people like their forest clean. Always take your trash with you to trash can or dumpster. I see couple candy paper on path. Very strong contrast, visible long way and makes me sad. Too lazy person to put wrapping to pocket and take to trash. Not nice or right thing to do.
Many pictures. Please enjoy.
