21. – 22. 4. 2018 there was Retkelle 2018 exhibition event in Jyväskylä Paviljonki.
I find this bingo–coupon from the exhibition.
It was ten nature trails in Jyväskylä area.
I must go and catch ’em all.
I start in Laajavuori.
There was still some snow, but I was not afraid.
I took my backpack and camera with me.
It took me about three (3) hours to walk this 4,5 km trail.
It was quite nice and warm day. Around +10°C. Nice weather to walk forest.
Old spruce forest at end of trail was nice and peaceful.
They say you might see Siberian flying squirrel in there. I did not see squirrel, but I see woodpecker.
There is also laavu and campfire place at half way of the trail.
Too bad I did not have food with me. Next time I maybe bring bacon and eggs to cook.
They provide firewood for free in many nature trails in Finland.
You probably need your own puukko and maybe hatchet to make small wood for fire.
Here under is epic dump of pictures I took. Still quite much snow in there.
There is big pile of sawdust. They store snow under it over summer. In autumn they make early ski track for cross-country skiers.
Laajavuori is also ski and sport center.
Also I saw tree that I think was hit by lightning.
Dog‘s should be kept on leash in this place, but it was nice dog.
There is morass or swamp after laavu. It was still covered in snow and path was easy to walk.
In summer it might be better to visit to see it better.
It was nice walk.
Did not get much dirty or wet at all.
